cinemechanica (athens; georgia/us) + mutiny on the bounty (esch-sur-alzette, luxemburg)
- Cinemechanica is also a rock band from Athens, Georgia like there friends Maserati and employing the classic stereo guitar configuration (guitar 2x, bass, drums.) Cinemechanica does not need or desire a gratuitous horn section or keyboard player to create excitement and dynamics. Cinemechanica is well versed in the math-rock canon, but thankfully employs odd time, atypical meter and upbeat tempos as a means to make the music -more- visceral, not to stroke their collective chop-egos. Cinemechanica has released two records through our own upstart label Hello Sir Records, 2004's EP-1 and 2006's The Martial Arts. Both have been well received critically and both recouped records continue to post consistant sales. Both are also pretty much awesome records- recorded/slaved over by the band themself. Cinemechanica has completed seven tours in three years, including a ten week, coast to coast US tour that saw the band playing with such contemporaries as Pelican, Daughters, Russian Circles, 400 Blows, The Octopus Project, Medications and Enon.
Mutiny On The Bounty was created in Luxembourg by Sacha, Nicolas, Luciano and David in April 2004. The style of our music can be described as a kind of tricky indie-rock mixed with post-rock, hardcore or even pop or metal influences as each individuality in the band is focused on different kinds of music and plays in various other local bands such as Treasure Chest At The End Of The Rainbow, Eternal Tango, Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? oe even Ganesha. -
