IVAN DRAGO & ELISION sign w/ SILENTSTAGNATION RECORDS

We are proud to announce the addition of Ivan Drago and Elision to our roster for the release of a split CD album featuring three songs by each band totally clocking around half an hour.

Ivan Drago
Founded in late fall 2003 and a first show in October 2004 Ivan Drago quickly became Berlin's best kept secret. With only a two song demo under their belt the band already proved their sense for sophisticated song-writing and originality. Drawing influences from many bands and styles the band created a sound lying somewhere between Reflux and Coalesce which means shattering brutality meets calm breakdowns and jazzy interludes.

The band commented:

We believe this collaboration is a very good match for all participants since we share the same musical visions such as quality, originality and authenticity. Knowing that we've found a label being truly commited to our music and thus willing to support us eminently makes us proud and we are very much looking forward to future cooperation."

Elision
The long-running German hardcore outfit already started back in 1994 and released several records with Navigator Prod. or Coretex Records and shared the stage with legendary acts like Unbroken, Strain and several more. After serious line-up changes (still featuring Dark Day Dungeon vocalist Mosh) and fresh blood the band rehearsed and wrote new songs in the past two years to evolve an unique sound and celebrate a glorious comeback. Expect a mixture of Mastodon, Cult Of Luna and Isis.

They had the following to say:
"Elision is very proud to finally show what we where up to the last two years. The music scene changed a lot over the years. It's good that guys like Silent Stagnation Records are still out there, willing to support unique and original music from the depths of the underground. Together with our friends from Ivan Drago, we'll turn this split to something really special. We are back!"


Ivan Drago's three songs have been recorded together with Alex Hornbach who was already responsible for The Ocean's wall of sound. Check out a rough mix here.
Elision's tracks were recorded with their producer and good friend Sven Peks in his Studio. Peks is a well known sound magician and produced bands like Tagtraum, Astra Kid, Electric Club and Miles. Check out some of Elision's previous work here.


The songs of both bands are currently getting their final mix and the mastering will be done by Hatesphere's own Jacob Bredahl. A release is expected for mid June, so watch out.

Right before the actual release-date Elision and Ivan Drago team up for a 10 days German tour in June.
