BGR 002 THE DEADLY [feat. members of TURMOIL] / THE DISGRAZIA LEGEND split CD in collaboration w/ HURRY UP! Rec.

THE DEADLY - In the Summer of 2001, a number of key figures from a number of Philadelphia's key bands happened to discuss the need for something new inthe city of brotherly love. With experience as members of such heroes as TURMOIL, LICKGOLDENSKY, and KILL THE MAN WHO QUESTIONS, they decided to fulfill this need with a new take on danger rock: THE DEADLY was born and word began to spread. By Fall, THE DEADLY were held up in Gradwell House Studios recording their debut, "Phantoms In The Frequencies," to be released by Hawthorne Street Records. Those able to get an early listen to the material quickly began heralding THE DEADLY as the soundtrack for the new era of rock. The excitement was building throughout Philadelphia and the hype machine was well on its way. During the next few months, THE DEADLY hit a few bumps on their path to glory. Guitar player and main songwriter Jonathon Hodges (TURMOIL) found himself distracted by his obligation to heavy hitters LICKGOLDENSKY, but by the Summer of 2002, with the release of "Phantoms In The Frequencies" approaching quickly, Hodges stepped down as a member of LICKGOLDENSKY, devoting himself whole-heartedly to THE DEADLY. At the same time, the lineup was solidified to include Jonathan Pushik (also a member of TURMOIL as well as CONVICTION), Matt Hanemann (from METROPLEX / ex-Sound Of Failure) on guitar, and Steve Turtso on bass. Fresh out of Gradwell Studios again, with a batch of new material... The fuse has been lit, and it's only a matter of time before the bomb known as THE DEADLY explode.

THE DISGRAZIA LEGEND - The Disgrazia Legend (ex-Onetruth) have been locked away with a new line-up perfecting their new sound. The Milano based quintet The Disgrazia Legend has been compared to bands like Majority Rule, Drowningman, Taken, Will Haven, Helmet, Unbroken, StretchArmStrong, Zao, Isis and Training for Utopia. Though, since forming in 1997 as Onetruth, the band has aimed to pound out a unique stamp in the music landscape playing an amalgamation of hardcore, rock, noise, and metal with a subtle acoustic atmosphere. TDL will be no different, drawing from influences including Britsh staples Duran Duran & The Smiths to current spacey/psychedelic acts like Radiohead & Portishead, as for their roots the "not-that-young-anymore" listener can notice some modern noisy hardcore packed with a clear mid-90's Ebullition-alike stamp. The sound comes complete with introspective and honest lyrics to touch everyone's mind and soul. The band remains true to their hardcore roots as well, by focusing a strong light on politics and society with sincerity and a dose of sarcasm, along with exposing an inner light in their own personal quest for fullfillment.

BGR 003 THIS IS HELL – 7inch ‘european touredition’ ltd. 1st press

THIS IS HELL - ...is a brand new hardcore outfit from the US. If you haven't heard about the band - shame on you. Some bandmembers have played in Scraps & Heart Attacks and others still play in The Backup Plan. The band performs melodic and modern old school hardcore on the highest level. At the moment they are one of the hardest working bands in america. They tour a lot with bands like Where Eagles Dare, The Bars, Another Breath and many more... Some days ago they have released their new songs on a 7inch which will be released in Europe through Broken Glasses Records. In April/ May 2005 the band will tour through Europe...
